This classic Shopper Basket is proudly part of our Blessing Basket Collection, a curated line featuring some of the most beloved and enduring items we've offered over the years. As a tribute to our roots as The Blessing Basket Project®, this collection celebrates the tradition of artisan-crafted excellence.

Our handcrafted baskets from Ghana are woven from sustainably harvested elephant grass, a durable and eco-friendly material native to the region. Artisans use primarily plant-based dyes, such as sorghum, to create rich, vibrant hues, while the grass is twisted for added strength. Each basket takes approximately two and a half days to weave, showcasing the remarkable skill and dedication of the artisans. The handles, made of straw and wrapped in goat leather, provide both comfort and durability. As these are handmade pieces, sizes, colors, and patterns will vary, making each one truly unique. Every purchase supports Ghanaian artisans and their communities, preserving traditional craftsmanship and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

CARE: To reshape fully immerse in warm water, shape as desired and dry where there is good airflow. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading of the natural and dyed fibers.
